Jun and Adrian’s Colorful Arts District Wedding at Millwick

This colorfully inspired wedding at Millwick in the downtown Los Angeles Arts District blends both of Jun’s and Adrian’s interests and backgrounds perfectly. To add their own touches and cultures to their wedding day, Jun wore three dresses on her wedding day, one being a traditional Chinese red dress and Adrian wanted to serve food reflecting his family with a delicious Mexican catering company, Casa de Brisa. They are both huge foodies - in fact we met up with each other before their wedding multiple times over delicious brunches in Highland Park, Los Angeles.

They also added some sweet touches to their wedding and added some of their favorite people and places to their wedding day. They got ready at The Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. Which was perfect for getting ready photos and being so close to their venue. They had Adrian’s sister be their officiant and marry them. Adrian plays guitar and surprised his bride with a beautiful song at their reception. Their tablescapes were so beautiful and colorful and it was a great spread of both their backgrounds. Burlap and Rose put together some gorgeous florals for them and added some tropical notes that went so well with the vibe of their wedding venue at Millwick. Darts DJ’s really got everyone out on the dance floor to celebrate these two while old Hollywood movies played on the projector during the reception at Millwick. They ended the night by serving donuts from Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, because donuts are delicious any time of day or night!

Working with these two was such a joy and I loved getting to know their story. It’s not often you meet someone in high school, reconnect after college, fall in love and get married! You could really see it in them and their friends that they have such an amazing group of people supporting them. One of my favorite moments was seeing the emotion from Adrian as Jun walked down the aisle during the ceremony. Another was them walking out during the grand entrance at the reception. So much love on this day and it’s why I have the coolest job as a wedding photographer.
